The first organisation since 1946 and the most renowned.
U.N.C.L.A. was founded in Milan in June1946, by a group of Italian composers and songwriters who were among themost famous of that time: Mascheroni, Panzeri, Bracchi, Testoni, Bertini, Bixio, Cherubini, Schisa, Olivieri, Kramer, and others. Their aim was to protect the interests of all Italian composers and songwriters against those who denied them a rightful return for their creative work.

By Ministerial Decree dated 12.7.1978 ( in the official gazette n. 211 dated 29.7.2978) U.N.C.L.A.. is acknowledged the most representative of the composers/songwriters Unions
U.N.C.L.A. MEMBERS
Composers and songwriters of the S.I.A.E .Music Department, D.O.R. Department (composers for theatre, operettas, cabaret, TV-Radio), Opera Department, Cinema Department, O.L.A.F. Department ( authors, painters and sculptors). U.N.C.L.A. has about 1350 members including some of the most prestigious composers/songwriters in Italy:

ELECTION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES
The elections are strictly democratic and all members have equal voting rights and equal responsibilities when in office.
